How do I create users when SSO is enabled?
When using SSO, there are two options for user account creation. New accounts will either need to be pre-created, or automatically created upon authentication.
Option 1: Automatic User Provisioning via SSO
A new user's account will be automatically created upon first login with basic permissions.
- Log in via SSO.
- If no existing account is found, Edgescan automatically creates one with basic permissions.
- A superuser can later review and adjust permissions as needed.
Option 2: Pre-existing Account in edgescan
Before a new user can sign in via SSO, an account must be created in Edgescan. The email associated with the account must correspond to the credentials in the identity provider.
- Log in via SSO.
- If a matching Edgescan account exists, access is granted.
- If no match is found, access is denied.
