The licence utilization summary is available in the UI, via the API, or as a scheduled export in common formats such as .csv & .xlsx.

Opening the Licence Utilization Summary
Users who have the permission to view licence summary can open the summary tab by clicking the Licence summary icon located on the top right of the asset page.
Navigating through summary tab
Summary tab will have two visible functions exporting and displaying licence utilization data at a glance.
- Application layer tab
- This tab displays all licences related to application and API assets. Select this tab to view application layer licences in detail.
- Host layer tab
- This tab lists all licences related to network assets. Use this tab to see host layer licences.
- Export button
- Clicking the Export button reveals various export options, including CSV and XLSX formats. More detailed instructions are provided in the subsequent sections.
- Scheduling an export
- Use this option to schedule the export of licence utilization data based on specific requirements and time frames.

- Pagination Controls
- Use the pagination controls to navigate through the list of licences. Click on a specific page number or the "Next" button to view additional licences not displayed on the first page.
- Adding Filters
- Use the filters option to retrieve the specific data required by refining the displayed results according to chosen criteria.
Application layer view
The Application Layer tab provides a comprehensive summary of all application and API-related licences. While all columns in the table provide valuable information, a few key columns are highlighted below:
- PO Number: Represents the Purchase Order number associated with each licence.
- Start Date & End Date: The duration for which the licence is valid, indicating when it starts and ends.
- Status: This column denotes status of the licence
- Licence Name: The specific name of the licence plan associated with the assets.
- Purchased: The total number of licences purchased.
- Utilized & Remaining: Displays how many licences have been utilized and how many are still available for use based on the licence duration and quantity.
- Utilized & Remaining PenTests: Displays how many pen tests has been utilized and how many are still available based on usage.
Host layer view
The Host Layer tab provides detailed information about licences related to network assets. Similar to the Application Layer, this tab includes several columns that offer a clear view of licence utilization. Some key columns are highlighted below:
- PO Number: Displays the Purchase Order number associated with each host-related licence.
- Start Date & End Date: Indicates the licence's validity period.
- Licence Name: Specifies the name of the host licence plan.
- Remaining Hosts & Consumed Hosts: Shows the number of live hosts remaining and those that have been utilized under the current licence.Negative values for Remaining Live Hosts will be highlighted in red[1], indicating over-utilization.
- Remaining Pen Tests & Utilized Pen Tests: Provides a count of penetration tests remaining and the number utilized as part of the licence.
Exporting Licence Utilization Summary
The export functionality allows users to download or send the licencing utilization summary in different formats. Below are the options available:

- XLSX:The export will contain two tabs:
- Application Summary: This tab includes all the details related to application and API licences.
- Host Summary: This tab includes all the details related to host and network licences.
- CSV:The data will be downloaded in a zipped format, containing two separate files:
- application_summary.csv: Contains details related to application and API licences.
- host_summary.csv: Contains details related to host and network licences.
Delivery Options
- Download Here: Users can download the export files directly to their system.
- Send via Email: Users can send the export files via email by selecting the desired format . This option requires the user to enter a password for secure delivery.
How to Export
- Select Export Format:
- Click on the Export button.
- Choose the desired format (XLSX or CSV).
- Choose Delivery Option:
- Download Here: Click on the Download button to save the file locally.
- Send via Email:
- Select Send via email.
- Enter the recipient's email and click Send. You may be prompted to enter a password for secure delivery.
- Export Confirmation:
- Once the export is initiated, a confirmation message will appear. The download will start automatically if the Download Here option is selected.
