Definition of an API
An API is a machine readable function that allows the exchange of data between two or more points typically via HTTP available in a RESTful format.
Each API is separated by domain, functionality, level of authentication and type.
Edgescan licenses web APIs by domain with up to two levels of authentication available per license.
