Release notes from the Edgescan bi-monthly release


  • New Features & Enhancements (Generally Available) 
    • Feature Enhancement - Scope Config Issues - added filters to show only requests not matched to a directive
      As a user selecting targets for a scan, I want to filter the sitemap by inclusion status so that I can see only the URLs that have not yet matched a scope directive, instead of having them mixed in with the ones a directive already sampled.
    • Feature Enhancement - Manual sitemap upload for manually pentested assets
      As an admin, I want to manually upload sitemap files (crawled and tested URL lists) for pen-tested assets, so that manual pen-tests have full sitemap coverage and visibility in the customer portal.

This is part of a larger visibility feature, more information is available on navigating the assessment page.

    • Feature Enhancement - ATOMIC Feedback / Enhancements
      As a user setting up an asset behind a WAF or IP allowlist, I want the scanner source IP documentation on the asset page, so that I can allowlist scan traffic without opening the create-asset form.
  • Bug Fixes (Generally Available)
    • Bug Report - ATOMIC Feedback / Enhancements
      As a user configuring an application or API asset for an AI assessment, I want to be warned on the asset page that I’m missing a URL location before I attempt to launch, rather than only finding out when the launch is refused.
    • Bug Report - scope directive 422 error
      As a user, I should not receive a 422 error with no useful error message when creating a scope directive.
    • Bug Report - Bulk update add tags not working on scale
      As a user, when bulk-adding/removing tags from several hundred assets, the request will not error due to timeout and tags already on those assets will be left unchanged.
    • Bug Report - Weaver Scan Appears Stuck
      As a user, I want a restarted scan to keep being tracked through to completion, so that the portal shows the scan’s real progress and results.
    • Bug Report - Scope Config Issues - Premature validation of Count field in Directive preview
      As a user configuring an exclude_and_sample scope directive, I want to freely edit the Count field in the preview modal, so that I can type the value I actually want without fighting the input.
