Release notes from the Edgescan bi-monthly release


  • New Features & Enhancements (Generally Available) 
    • Feature Enhancement - Report function for auto-redacting.
      As a user, I want to generate a report with sensitive asset-identifying details (IP addresses, hostnames, URLs, file paths) redacted, so that I can safely share the report externally without exposing infrastructure details.
    • Feature Enhancement - Roles created for a parent Org should be assignable to users in child org
      As a user, I want to be able to assign roles created for a parent org to users in child orgs provided all permissions are scoped to the user’s organization.
    • Feature Enhancement - User testing notes for retests
      As a user, when adding testing notes to a retest, each note will be recorded against the specific vulnerability it describes and shown alongside that vulnerability.
    • Feature Enhancement - See the HTTP Method First and the URL Second in the Preview Table
      As a user reviewing a scope directive before saving it, I want to see the HTTP method first and the URL second in the preview table so I can quickly scan verbs without resizing columns.
    • Feature Enhancement - Add Organisation Name to vulnerability export.
      As a user exporting vulnerabilities from an organization with multiple sub-organizations, I want the organization name included alongside the organization ID.
  • Bug Fixes (Generally Available)
    • Bug Report - Scope Config Issues - Column Resizes get Refreshed with Data Updates
      As a user, I want my resized table columns to stay resized when the data updates (scrolling loads more rows, or a field change triggers a refetch), so I don’t have to keep re-resizing them.
    • Bug Report - Manage Credential modal wipes fields every 30 seconds
      As a user, when creating and applying a credential from the asset page, the form must not automatically wipe fields every 30secs
    • Bug Report - Roles – User count includes users outside the viewer’s organization, linking to an empty user list
      As a user viewing the Roles page, I want to see a role’s user count that always matches the list of users it links to.
    • Bug Report - Asset bulk update – comma-separated credential ids merge into a single number in the exported CSV, wiping credentials on re-upload
      As a user, when I bulk-update assets without touching the credential columns, the assets’ shared credential assignments stay exactly as they were before the export.
    • Bug Report - Icon for manual scan does not update when it’s paused
      As a user who requests a manual scan be paused, I want the asset status to clearly say a pause was requested (not just “Paused”) so that I don’t panic and disable the asset thinking the scan is still running.
    • Bug Report - EASM scans can stay running forever with zero tasks
      As a user, I want a scan that never started any tasks to leave running on its own, so that my investigation is not blocked by a zombie scan.
    • Bug Report - Asset edit - disable reason modal still visible after clicking Save.
      As a user, when I save a reason for disabling all scanning, I want the confirmation dialog to close so I can see the updated asset without an extra click.
    • Bug Report - Vulnerabilities keep reverting to original Risk status causing a lot more work
      As a user, when I change a vulnerability’s risk rating while an assessment is running, my rating and the reason I gave will still be there after the assessment completes.
      As a user, when updating vulnerability risk rating changes, the audit trail will show the change was made by me and not a generic Edgescan-admin.
