What Is Scope Configuration?

Scope configuration is a feature which is available for web application assets. It allows fine grain control of what will and won't be scanned during assessments. This allows you to ensure that vital areas of your web app are scanned, and to control scan time by excluding URLs.

By default, the scope for all web application assets is configured by our security operations team and this feature will be in read-only mode. Users can opt in to the feature to manually configure their scope for a specific asset. You can learn more about manual configuration and the responsibilities which it entails here.
