You can configure notifications for when your asset has entered the targeting phase as this is the point where interaction is required. These can be customized to your liking via events. If no one in your organization has an event setup, we will notify the point of contact for your organization or the user who opted in to the feature.
Configuring the scope of your asset
- Creating and managing your scope directives.
- Ensuring the scan will be completed in a satisfactory amount of time - the size of the scope is the single biggest factor affecting scanning time. We provide an estimated scan duration in the UI to assist with this.
Selecting when to pause for targeting
- As described here, there are several targeting criteria options which dictate when your scan pauses in targeting mode. It is up to you to decide when your scans should pause for targeting so you can review the latest sitemap and make adjustments as necessary.
Proceeding with the scan
- When a scan has paused for targeting you must manually choose to proceed with the scan. When you're satisfied with the scope, you can click on the button outlined in the image below to proceed with scanning.
