You can do this individually or in bulk. Version Number: v1.0.3 Published Date: 09 Oct 2026 \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ In Edgescan it is possible for users with an [Org Admin](https://kb.edgescan.com/knowledge/what-does-the-org-admin-role-allow?hsLang=en) and [Asset Admin](https://kb.edgescan.com/knowledge/what-does-the-asset-admin-role-allow?hsLang=en) role, to remove vulnerabilities from the platform using the discard function. Discarded vulnerabilities can be re-opened at any point. You cannot discard vulnerabilities on an asset where PCI reporting is enabled. Discarded vulnerabilities are never tested for during assessments. They are not listed in generated reports and their risk scores are excluded from asset scores and metrics.  1. In the platform identify the vulnerability you wish to discard. 2. Confirm you wish to discard the vulnerability. **We recommend adding pertinent information that you or a colleague will be able to reference in the future.**  1. You can chose the type of discard. The options are: 1. Risk Acceptance 2. False Positive 3. Out of scope 4. It will no longer trigger SLA breach alerts or countdowns against remediation time targets (MTTR). If a discard was set with an **expiry timeframe** (or is reopened manually), the vulnerability returns to the active state. Its original detection date and detection history remain intact, meaning if its original remediation SLA window has elapsed, it will immediately flag as **violating SLA** unless remediated or re-waived.         -
